Beach time with the family.

Every year my family reunites to spend a few days together on the beach.  This year we met at Port Aransas, Texas. This yearly reunion  is a very special time for us.  It's nice to take a break and visit with my children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins in such a relaxed surrounding.

The kids love collecting seashells and such on the beach.   Sand dollars turned out to be a perfect base to tangle on.

The girls love to scour the seaside boutiques.  One of my favorite shops to visit is A MANO.  A MANO translated means handmade, everything in the shop is beautifully handcrafted by artisans in Mexico.

I adored it all,  but really fell in love with the hand-carved figures.  The colors on the figures are bright and cheerful, the patterns painted on them remind me of Zentangle patterns.

Visit the Design Originals  YouTube channel for tutorials, one of our newest videos instructs you on how to turn a plain white purse into a tangled accessory item.

Zentangle of the week, enjoy and create!!
